Teacher fired over sex case
National PostPRINCE ALBERT, SASK. - A northern Saskatchewan board has fired a woman teacher who admitted having a sexual relationship with a female student more than a decade ago. Margaret Carruthers' termination is effective tomorrow, when the verdict in her sexual assault case is expected. Ms. Carruthers, 44, is accused of sexually assaulting Donna Bouchard, now 29, starting when Ms. Bouchard was in Grade 9. The teacher testified the relationship with Ms. Bouchard was consensual.
