Ontario: America's Most Wanted to feature alleged abduction

National Post

SCOTLAND - The alleged abduction of southwestern Ontario triplets last month will be featured on TV's America's Most Wanted this Saturday. The missing triplets were allegedly taken by their mother from their grandparent's farm southwest of Brantford. The three seven-year-olds -- Gray, Olivia, and Peter -- were taken from the residence of Pietr and Antonia Vandenelson, police said. Their father, Craig Merkley, had custody of the children and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Carline Vandenelson. They have not been seen since Oct. 14, when she drove up to the Vandenelson farm, put the triplets in the car and fled, police said. Ms. Vandenelson may be headed to Costa Rica with the children, but police acknowledge they have no idea where she has fled. They hope to receive a tip from the public after the U.S. network show airs this weekend. "Someone knows something out there," said Detective Sergeant John Wilson, of Stratford police, which are heading the investigation.
