SUICIDE MUM EXECUTES KIDS

By ANDY RUSSELL
The Sun.

A NURSE murdered her two children and killed herself with drip-fed drugs after her marriage broke up, police said yesterday.

The bodies were found by her husband when he called at their 130,000 semi.

Yew Chen Crowther, 47 - using drugs she took from the hospital where she worked - injected the children before killing herself.

She was found alongside Stephanie, nine, and Stephen, eight, in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire.

Yew Chen had written notes to husband Frank, 47, a technical illustrator who left the family home a week before. They had lived in the affluent suburb for about 15 years. Yew Chen was a popular theatre nurse at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester where she was known as Rosie.

Mr Crowther was said to be "absolutely distraught" after Sunday's horrific discovery.

A neighbour said: "They were a lovely family and lovely children. It is too sad for words."

Police said: "The deaths are being treated as suspicious but we are not seeking anybody in connection with this tragedy."

Officers were liaising with authorities at Wythenshawe Hospital to see which drugs Mrs Crowther had access to as part of her work.
