Canoe News

EDMONTON (CP) -- Two Edmonton children allegedly abducted by a non-custodial parent have been found by police in Thunder Bay, Ont.

The 13-year-old girl and her nine-year-old brother are OK, police said.

The kids, along with their mother, were taken into custody Thursday by police.

The mother was arrested while allegedly trying to get custody of her children in Ontario, police said.

It's not known when the kids or their mother will return to Edmonton, police said.

The children, who live with their father, were last seen on July 3.

When their father, who has custody, came home from work, they were gone. He then called police.

The mother was arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for abduction in contravention of a custody order.
