Stop wasting taxpayer money on feminist agenda

Letter to the Editor from C. Gwendolyn Landolt
The Ottawa Citizen

Re: Justice Department considers female-only child custody hearings, July 5.

For Justice Minister Anne McLellan to arrange special hearings, in addition to the already completed 35 consultation sessions costing taxpayers $1.5 million, for a coterie of feminists is outrageous.

The majority of participants and organizers at the federal-provincial consultation session we attended were women who were not afraid to sit at the same table with fathers' groups to work out solutions for fair divorce laws.

The boycotting group, National Association of Women and the Law, and others that have received millions of taxpayer dollars to promote their feminist agenda cannot be called "equality-seeking organizations" if they refuse to sit with fellow Canadians to work out solutions in a consultation process titled Putting Children's Interests First.
