Mom ordered to stay in jailBy BRODIE FENLON, TORONTO SUN
A Toronto mother accused of dangling her baby girl out of a moving SUV on Hwy. 401 was denied bail yesterday.
Thi-Phuong Dang, 26, wiped tears from her face on the sleeves of a fuchsia-coloured T-shirt as a Vietnamese translator leaned into the prisoner's box and murmured testimony from the hearing.
Dang is charged with failing to provide the necessities of life, common nuisance and breach of recognizance.
OPP allege Dang was arguing with her husband when she tried to climb out a rear window with the 18-month-old girl. Details of yesterday's hearing can not be published under a ban.
Dang will remain in custody until her trial. Her next court appearance is July 23 at College Park.
