Woman stabbed outside Halifax bar, suspect arrested
The (Halifax) Daily NewsHALIFAX - A stabbing outside a Halifax bar early Sunday morning has sent one woman to hospital and landed another in police custody.
Staff-Sergeant Mike Burns says two women got into an argument in the parking lot (6100 Young St.) of a tavern and one allegedly stabbed the other in the chest.
The victim, who was conscious and breathing at the time of police arrival, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Her condition is not yet known.
The suspect was pinned by bar staff and held for police.
A 46-year-old female will appear in Provincial Court on Monday charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
