Kitaen in Rehab, Divorce CourtFri Apr 19, 2:20 PM ET Yahoo News
The party's really over for Bachelor Party babe Tawny Kitaen.
The 1980s sex bomb, who made headlines this month for the alleged unlawful deployment of high-heeled shoes on her jock hubby, is (1) facing a divorce suit from the jock hubby; (2) being barred from seeing the jock hubby (and their two daughters); and (3) undergoing rehab treatment for an addiction to prescription drugs.
Also, her nanny says she doesn't like to get up before 10 a.m.
These revelations, per a batch of court documents that came to light this week.
Chuck Finley, aka the jock hubby and star pitcher for baseball's Cleveland Indians, filed for the Big "D" April 4, three days after Kitaen's arrest on misdemeanor spousal abuse charges. Around the same time, Finley got the court to issue two temporary restraining orders: One to keep Kitaen away from him; the other to keep her away from their children, ages 9 and 4.
"I have learned...that [Kitaen] has been behaving in a bizarre manner and that my children are in substantial jeopardy exposed to this behavior," Finley writes in a statement accompanying the divorce filing.
Some of the alleged "bizarre" behavior? In her own court document, Pam Sheek, the Finley family's longtime nanny, says that when Finley is out of town on road trips, Kitaen likes to sleep in until 10 a.m., defer any and all calls until 10:30 a.m., before finally becoming "somewhat conversant" around 11 a.m.
Sheek describes Kitaen as living in a fog of prescription drugs. "[Kitaen] became so troubled by her ingesting of drugs that she has had two blood cleansings [at the hospital] during the past four-and-a-half years," she says.
The most disturbing incident described by Sheek reputedly occurred a month before the alleged attack on Finley. On March 1, Sheek claims, Kitaen requested that her two children be brought to the master bedroom to sleep with her. Once in the room, the nanny noted that the room's gas fireplace log was on, but no flame had been lit.
In his court papers, Finley reveals he has worried about his estranged wife's driving habits and hired a P.I. to spy on her behind-the-wheel habits. His conclusion: "So bizarre" and dangerous. (Notably, police say Finley was attacked by Kitaen while he tried to drive them home.)
Finley also claims that following Kitaen's arrest he found "various knives" under their bed.
Kitaen, in court papers of her own, admits to having become addicted to prescription drugs for migraines and depression. She says she voluntarily checked into a 30-day rehab program last week.
"I am seeking treatment for this issue so I can be the healthiest and best mother possible to my two daughters who mean the world to me," Kitaen says in her statement.
Kitaen is scheduled to be arraigned April 29 on the two domestic violence charges, which carry a maximum penalty of a year in jail and $6,000 in fines.
In addition to Bachelor Party, Kitaen is best known for her role as the "Whitesnake babe" in a series of Whitesnake videos from the late 1980s with then-hubby David Coverdale. She and Finley wed in 1997.
