Mother charged with daughter’s murderThe Scotsman
A PREGNANT woman appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering her young daughter.
Andrea Lorraine Bone, 20, made no plea or declaration after the death of Carla-Nicole Bone, 13 months, and was remanded in custody pending further inquiries.
Bone, of Conland Farm Cottage, Forgue, Aberdeenshire, appeared on petition in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
She appeared in court the day after Alexander David McClure, 27, of the same address, made no plea or declaration after being charged with murder. He was remanded in custody.
Fiscal depute Adrian Cottam said afterwards that Bone made no plea or declaration before Sheriff Douglas Cusine.
The child suffered serious head injuries, it emerged after police were called to the cottage on Monday.
She was rushed 40 miles from Huntly, in rural Aberdeenshire, to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, but later died.
