Boy-toy daddy loses lawsuit

KENT, Wash. -- The youth who fathered two children with his sixth-grade teacher can't blame the relationship on school officials or police, a civil jury found.

Vili Fualaau was not present when the verdict was read Monday in court.

Fualaau was 12 years old and Mary Kay Letourneau, 34, was a married mother of four when their relationship began in 1996. She's serving 7 1/2 years for child rape.

The boy's lawyer had argued that officials failed to protect Fualaau from being sexually exploited and proposed that jurors award about $2.4 million.

Fualaau's mother, Soona Vili, has custody of the kids.
