Sclater verdict today
By Rob Granatstein, TORONTO SUNBARRIE -- Barrie sex-note teacher Laura Sclater will learn today if a Superior Court judge felt she had sexual intent in her relationship with a 13-year-old boy.
Judge Harry Keenan heard three-and-a-half weeks of evidence and took yesterday to write his verdict.
If found guilty of sexual abuse, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching of the student at Goodfellow public school, she would be banned from the classroom. Sclater, 31, also faces a $2.6 million civil suit from the teen.
