Too many children missing a father

Growing up without fathers, Dec. 23.

Letter to the Editor from James Hodgins
Toronto Star

I'm dismayed that you chose to ignore ways to help children grow up with both parents, especially their fathers.

Too many children experience sadness and pain because their fathers are unable to be with them. Why not delve into addressing the reasons fathers are having difficulties staying a part of the family. We don't need more stories that do nothing to help ensure that more of these fathers remain in the lives of their children.

Children benefit from two parents, not just more money from the state.
